2011-2012 FALL/WINTER UMAC PROGRAMS
MINNOWS PROGRAM: This is a very popular UMAC program. Please click here for details about the program and the registration form.
STROKE & TURN CLINIC: Three-week Stroke and Turn Clinic for swimmers who are new to competitive swimming. We highly recommend this clinic for Minnows who are ready to move up to the team. (Returning Minnows with questions should contact Coach Tim at umacgirlscoach@gmail.com .) The clinic offers the opportunity for swimmers to improve their strokes and competitive skills, and learn what swim team practices are like. Registration for Stroke & Turn must be done in person at the High School on Thursday, September 15th from 6:00 - 7:30 p.m. Swimmers must be prepared to get into the water to be evaluated. The $95 fee for this clinic will be deducted from "Team" fee for participants who move on to the swim team.
SWIM TEAM: Open to anyone of any age (must be able to swim the length of the pool). Weeknight practices begin September 19th. Meets are held on Saturdays from November-January, plus championships in February. Our swimmers and their families enjoy Special Events such as a Bowling Night and a Season-Ending Recognition & Awards Banquet. $200.00 (first child) & $160.00 (each additional child). Team fees may be paid in two installments, at registration and November 9th.

This is a parent run organization and parents are required to help officiate and run a minimum of three meets - no experience necessary!
DIVING PROGRAM: For new and experienced divers; practices begin the week of September 19th and meets are held in conjunction with the swim meets, from November to January, with championships in February. Divers may also swim in the meets if they wish. Divers new to the team should register in person - date TBA. $200 (first child) for diving only; or $250 (first child) for swimming and diving.

DIVING TRIAL: For new divers who would like to see what competitive diving is like before making a decision to join the team. Please note that these are not diving lessons; divers should be able to execute at least one dive (of some sort). We will hold diving try outs on Thursday, September 15, from 6 – 7:30 PM in the high school. The $60 fee for this clinic will be deducted from the “Team” fee for participants who move on to the dive team. (Note: For divers who are already registered for the Swim Team in 2011-12, or for Stroke and Turn, the fee for the Diving Trial is $50.)
